Many premium travel credit cards waive annual fees for active-duty military personnel, including Reserve and National Guard members on federal orders, as well as their dependents under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act and Military Lending Act. The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and Military Lending Act (MLA) are federal laws protecting active-duty service members from financial distress, with the SCRA covering debts incurred before service and the MLA protecting against predatory lending on new credit during service.

- Leverage Welcome Bonuses The majority of rewards come from initial sign-up bonuses when used responsibly. These are how you earn large amounts of points to redeem for free stays or flights.
- Redeem with Intention Points can be transferred to airline and hotel partners for maximum value, rather than redeemed at a lower fixed rate.
